Edge bander electrical and control system repair
When an edge bander won’t start, stops with an error or behaves unpredictably, the cause is usually in the control system: a safety circuit, a drive, a sensor, a relay or the PLC. I trace the fault to its real cause on site, with the machine’s schematics and proper test equipment, instead of replacing parts by guesswork.

From the PLC to the last limit switch
PLC diagnostics
Inputs, outputs, error messages and program states — to see what the controller is actually waiting for.
Drives and motors
AC motor drives, motor faults, overloads and the wiring between drive and motor.
Servo and stepper systems
Positioning axes, encoders and drive alarms.
Sensors and limit switches
Photo-eyes, proximity sensors and switches that tell the machine where the panel is.
Safety circuits
Emergency stops, guard switches and safety relays — so the machine runs, and stays safe.
Wiring and cabinet faults
Loose terminals, damaged cables, contactors and relays, found with schematics and a meter.
Measured, not guessed
Electrical faults are expensive when they are fixed by swapping parts until the machine runs. I start with the error message and the schematics, measure the circuit and find the component that has actually failed.
Before any part is ordered, you know what failed and why. After the repair I test the machine through a full cycle and note what was done on a clear written invoice.

Frequently asked
Can you fix it if I don’t have the electrical drawings?
Often, yes. Schematics make diagnosis faster, so if you have the machine’s electrical drawings or manual, keep them with the machine. Without them, circuits can still be traced on the machine itself — it just takes longer.
My machine stops with an error code. What should I send you?
A photo of the error on the screen, the machine’s name plate and a short video of what happens. That often tells me what to bring before I arrive.
Do you work on older machines?
Yes. Older controls can often be repaired, even when the original parts are no longer made.
Machine down? Get in touch.
Call or text with the machine brand and model and what it is doing. A photo of the name plate and a short video of the fault help a lot. Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
On site across Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Surrey, Delta, Langley and Abbotsford — and across British Columbia by arrangement. Farsi-speaking clients are welcome.
